In this very short video tutorial, I’ll show you a little-known but very useful menu in Blender. It’s the Quick Favorites menu, which you can access by pressing the Q key.

Hello everyone! In this very short video tutorial, I’ll show you a little-known but very useful menu in Blender. It’s the Quick Favorites menu, which you can access by pressing the Q key.
In this menu, you can add the tools you use most often, or those with more complex shortcuts that are harder to remember, so you can access them more quickly. The Q shortcut is really easy to remember since it’s the first letter of Quick Favorites.
To add a tool, or even a modifier, to this menu, simply right-click on its name and choose Add to Quick Favorites. For example, you can easily do this for a modifier directly from its panel, or for a menu item in the 3D Viewport.
Once you’ve done that, the tool will be available in the menu you access with the Q key, and you can remove it at any time by right-clicking on it and selecting Remove From Quick Favorites.
Blender automatically saves these Quick Favorites in the user preferences, so they’ll be available in other projects and future Blender sessions as well.
As for the other tools, you can still access them through their original menus or by using the search box with the F3 key. For example, to add Set Origin to your favorites, right-click in the 3D Viewport, then right-click again on Set Origin and choose Add to Quick Favorites.
Other tools can be found using the Search Box, which you can open with the F3 key, and added to your favorites by right-clicking on them and selecting Add to Quick Favorites.
This menu is different for each editor, and also for the various modes available within an editor. For example, I’ve added some Quick Favorites in the 3D Viewport while in Object Mode, but I haven’t done that yet in Sculpt Mode. So in Sculpt Mode, I’ll be able to add Quick Favorites and they’ll only show up in that mode.
The same applies to other editors. For instance, as you can see, I haven’t created any Quick Favorites for the Outliner.
This way, the Quick Favorites menu won’t get overloaded with tools that are irrelevant in the current context.
